The hip joint is one of the largest joints in the human body. The articular cartilage in this area wears out quickly, so it is a good idea to monitor the condition of the joint, especially if you have a sedentary job.
Indications for examination:
- hip pain,
- limitation of mobility,
- morning stiffness in the hip,
- swelling, bruising and hematoma in the hip area,
- suspicion of degenerative disease,
- suspected injuries, tumors, etc.
Contraindications to the examination:
- implanted electrical devices (defibrillator, pacemaker, neurostimulator, etc.),
- metal bodies in soft tissues or metal fragments in the vicinity of vessels, parenchymal organs, eyeballs.
The test is not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy. Claustrophobia may also be a contraindication to the test.
