It can be infected mainly by ingesting infected meat, milk, tofu or water, rarely by blood transfusion. Yersiniosis is an acute disease, characterized by diarrhea and inflammation of the lymph nodes of the mesenteric lymph nodes. As a gastrointestinal infection, the disease is not dangerous, while the development of sepsis increases the mortality rate to up to 50%.
